Twitter future?
It won’t be long before twitter is myspace: Ad heavy, content lite. Before its demise, I’m really hoping a twitter fad I’ve though of takes off. Keep in mind I in no way will try to progress this fad, so feel free to take it and run.
Basically I’d like to see a rise, even domination, of ironic twitter accounts. I’m sure a hand full exist, but I think it could be really sweet for someone to take a personality he or she likes and apply it to twitter. My preference would, of course, be irony. Here’s some users I’d like to see, tweets and all:
And none of that ’1 post a month’ nonsense. Constant updates. It would be rather simple: every time you feel the need to tweet about your every day life, think to your self ‘how would (ironic celebrity) tweet this?’ The more mundane the better! But, of course, you’d also have to filter your comments though said celebrity’s ‘accomplishment funnel’. Here’s a great example using the popular 80s rock band Survivor:
Let me ask you: what celebrity, or ironic person, or character, or food, or whatever would like to see on twitter. What kind of tweets would he/she/it produce?
